Meet Mrs. Picard
My name is Elaine Picard. I was born and raised here in Framingham. I graduated from Framingham North High School (back when Framingham had two public high schools) and from Framingham State College. I have been teaching for over 35 years with 29 of them here at Dunning School. I have taught grades 2, 3, and 4 with the majority of my career spent in third grade. Second grade is a year with much growth from the children academically, socially, and emotionally. When I am not teaching I love to read. I am an avid reader but do most of my reading over the summer. I am a huge Patriots football fan. One look in my classroom will make it very evident my devotion to the Patriots. I look forward to fall when football season begins again. I also love to travel. I have been to 35 out of the 50 states and am hoping to make it to all 50 eventually. There are such wonderful sites to see in this country.
I am the proud mother of three wonderful children named Eric,Greg, and Madelene and the grandmother to three adorable grandsons ages 4, 2, and 16 months. Spending time with my family gives me the greatest joy.
